  Stena Sealink
by Goner

After a typical Irish breakfast of bacon, bangers, fried tomatoes, toast, coffee and this time bad fried eggs, the proprietor dropped us off at the ferry station.

We opted for the Stena Sealink Lynx. Two hours faster across the Irish Sea and of course more expensive. It was a much rougher ride than the 10-deck ferry. Quite a few passengers left a token to the sea during the trip. Sometimes the Irish Sea is so rough the hi-speed ferry can't make the journey. This was quite a vessel, new, beautifully decorated, and spacious. We talked to two interesting fellows from Idaho who were golfing their way across Ireland and Britain. One had a Swiss wife and after golfing was headed for Switzerland to climb the mountain "Monch" next to the Eiger.

Leaving Ireland we felt cheated, we hadn't see all that we would have liked, we felt very sad, but were thankful we could eat and talk while the rest of the passengers were heaving over the backend of the ship.
