"Castle Precinct: Golden Lane" Golden Lane Tip by yooperprof
Golden Lane, Prague: 115 reviews and 185 photos
These are 16th century cottages that might seem to have been transported here from the south of France. They were inhabited until the 1950s when the local residents were kicked out in order to make room for a motley assortment of tourist shops. Maybe they've been "restored" a little too much - they really can't have ever been this pretty, so the effect is somewhat "Disney." Go early in the morning - and you won't have to pay admission, and you won't have to jostle with the crowds!
