We visited the Rybarsky Klub on a cold evening in January 2002 and then again on an equally cold evening in December 2004. It's situated in a lovely location on Kampa Island
It's a cosy place with just a few tables (although I think in Summer you can also sit outside). Since we first went, and after the terrible floods in Prague, the restaurant has been renovated. Gone are the fishing nets and stuffed fish, although the rustic wood tables are still in evidence. Instead the light decor gives the impression of a cheerful taverna. Intimate and welcoming.
On both occasions the service was good, the waiting staff friendly and, most importantly, the food was excellent

Favorite Dish: STARTERS
Fish Soup (delicious)
Tench with Mushoom Sauce and Boiled Potatoes
Pike/Perch with Basil and Pommes Frittes
(both delicious again!)
Light beers, Grog (Rum, or maybe whisky, with hot water and lemon) and Coffee

Price in 2002 for 2 people 1026CZK (about 21.89 sterling). Not the cheapest place we ate but not bad for two particularly given the good standard of the food.

In 2004 we had a similar menu but also added a dessert each and the cost was 1,200CZK (approx. 28.86 sterling) for 2 people.

Address: U sovovych mlynu 1, Praha 1.
