Sole: "Tapas, American style" Top 5 Page for this destination Charlotte Restaurant Tip by acemj

Sole calls itself a Spanish Grille and has a menu that features nearly 20 tapas. The atmosphere is great. It's a small restaurant housed in a free standing brick building in the culinarily blessed East Boulevard in Dilworth. I would classify their "tapas" as American style appetizers more than true Spanish tapas, but the food is good and the portions are plentiful.
Favorite Dish: I've had the Langostinos al Pil Pil (prawns in garlic and paprika) and Gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic and olive oil) for tapas. They also have a Spanish beer that's worth a try called Estrella Galicia (a lager).
Last time I was there, I had Berenjena Rellena (stuffed eggplant with fresh sauteed spinach and cheese). It was good, but not as flavorful as I would have liked.
The tapas range in price from $6-$10. The entrees range from $11-$18. The wine is expensive ($7-12/glass). The beer is average ($2.50-3/bottle).
