Luggage and bags: Make sure you have a day pack, preferably one that can hold a large water bottel.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Shorts, sandals that can be hiked in and T-Shirts with an SP rating.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Make sure you have sun block for skin and lips. Make sure you have aftersun.

Photo Equipment: If you have a digital camera or any other electrival device, make sure you have the two pronged round pin adapters. Better yet, you can cheaply buy new power leads for your devices in Santiago.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There is swimming on the beach, so take you swimming gear and make sure you have sun block. I recommend you take a pair of swimming goggles as well.

Miscellaneous: If you live in the UK, you should take a trip to the British Museum. In the Great Court you will find, near the cafe, Hoa Hakananai'a, one of the two Moai in possesion of the museum.
