Rifugio Lavaredo: "crowded but a good location" Lago di Misurina Hotel Tip by richiecdisc

A smaller, more cozy Rifugio than Auronzo (only sleeps 30), but very crowded due to easy accessiblity and location to many hikes from it.

Unique Qualities: It does have a great location and it is easy to get to, even for beginning hikers, but this ease comes at the cost of being very busy. If you are looking for some solitude, this is not the place. It's open June 1st till the end of September but we opted for the drive up Auronzo.
