It's a bit of a tourist trap and it takes about an hour but is kind of fun to watch for a while. the crowds can get big so you may want to get there early if you want to secure a good spot.

This is not a good place to try to meet up with someone as I found out the hard way. I was trying to meet up with a friend of mine who happened to be in London at the same time as I was there and she picked the changing of the guards as the meeting place. I arrived there early when the crowd was fairly small but it quickly grew to a few hundred people. I walked back and forth about 20 times before I finally gave up and left.

As it turns out she was late and I happened across her as she was walking toward Buckingham Palace about an hour after our original meeting time.

As I was searching the crowd for her I was able to see the changing of the guards whith the hourses, music and all of the glory. As I mentioned it's a bit of a tourist trap but worth it once.
