"One NIT from Moscow ;-)" Kazan' Transportation Tip by Pablos_new

Kazan is situated not far from Moscow to the east, ONLY 1 night by train. ;-) LOL! As we discussed it in VT forums distancies in Russia could be measured in NITs (night-in-train), so this is the shortest distance.

Train is very usefull and usually very confortable way to travel across Russia. But in this particular case I was unlucky. Imagine new rather modern coupe-wagon (with compartments for 4 people), all is covered with closely fitted plastic and with double pane units in windows and central air conitioner - i.e. not only air, but sounds could not come in from outdoors. Air conditioning is switched off (!!!). Following is absolutely stupid dialog with train conductor:
- Can you switch on conditioner, please.
- You see, this wagon is very new one. I cannot switch it on.
- Is it broken?
- No, I've told you - it is absolutely new, it runs for only 1 week.
- ?!? And can you switch on just vent?
- NO!!! I am afraid that something could burn up.
- !?!?

After that we opened windows in a corridor (thanks that something could be opened) and left the coupe door open for the whole night ;-(
