Well, that was new thing for me. As i have been travelled in SE Asia earlier, the lack of chopsticks was surprised. Thais ususlly use fork and spoon, but you get chopsticks if you ask some. Ofcourse in chinatowns there are chopsticks available.
I do prefer eating with chopsticks(especially noodles).
