"Russian maphia tugs threatening tourists" Trakai Warnings Or Dangers Tip by urbanlegend

Trakai Warnings and Dangers: 12 reviews and 17 photos

The place is beautiful, and the castle is well worth seeing... However, in a restaurant (the much advertized Karaim one) we were attacked by two enormous Russian tugs who arrived in dressed only in bathing suits, behaved very loudly and screamed something in Russian at us. We didn't answer (not understanding a word of what they said) and they then threatened us (me and my fiance). We did not understand what they wanted. They hit my fiance in the head and he was bleeding. Pretty shocked, we ran for shelter to the administrator of the restaurant but he was unwilling to call the police, or protect us in any way. We paid for the food and went by foot to the train station. I was very much afraid. Fortunately, the Russians had already gone and we managed to safely take the train to Vilnius where people are friendly and the city seems really safe and nice.
