The Lucky plaza, Orchard Road: "Be Lucky" Singapore Shopping Tip by sourbugger
Singapore Shopping: 290 reviews and 369 photos
I had to endure one of those male nightmares in Singapore today - SHOPPING for an ENTIRE day.
It was made slightly more pleasurable by visiting the Lucky Plaza. It has the aura of the Bullring in Birmingham, England before it was bulldozed. A refreshing piece of semi-grime in a city which is far too spotlessly clean for my taste.
There is a myriad of small shops - and many will enjoy a bit of good-natured bartering.
What to buy: The main shops where you could get a bargain were jewellery, watches, consumer electricals, bags & shoes.
Quite a few nore unusual shops as well like aromatheraphy (Smell to get well !) and wig shops.
Cheap food court as well.
Also useful for little jobs like watch repairs and the like.
What to pay: Probably the cheapest place on Orchard road, but felt (but probably wasn't) a little more expensive than the shops in Chinatown.
Address: Midway along orchard road
