"Rivieria Beach Municipal Marina" Riviera Beach Sports & Outdoors Tip by grandmaR
Riviera Beach Sports & Outdoors: 1 reviews and 1 photos
Riviera Beach charged us $40.85/night (44 foot boat) plus a refundable $20 deposit for the key. They say if you are here for 4 nights, it is cheaper to pay for the week. They have cable TV hookups at some docks, but our hookup is being used by the power boat across the way. We have electricity - don't know how much it is. The monthly rate is $13.85/foot, as of last year. We came in at slack tide, and will try to leave ditto as there is a LOT of cross current in this marina.
They have a large dry storage business here, and a little sandwich shop/bar type place. There are showers and a laundry ($1/load), and a connection to get e-mail outside the office (available 24 hours). They have fuel and ice but we haven't gotten any of either. They have bikes for rent for $6/day.
There are security gates, but have not seen them locked. Bob says the area around the marina looks like we would get mugged if we went out at night,--nothing around there in the way of nice places to eat and the bar/restaurant plays loud music late.
Talked to the marina guy - he says they are going to move this whole marina inland, and put a hotel and aquarium here. He says they will dig canals etc - multi-million$ project.
Bob has been walking around to the various hardware stores and the marine consignment shop (I think it is called the Sea Chest) which is only a couple blocks away, and he says it is better organized than Sailorman in Ft. Lauderdale.
