I can't really complain about the Gallery hotel because when I originally wrote this tip about the hotel I was using the free internet facilities in the lobby of the hotel itself.

It tries very hard to be 'cutting edge' with neon lights, lots of glass and stainless steel, tons of sunken spotlights, chairs with odd coverings, twigs in wooden boxes - you know the type of thing.

It is however also quite reasonable at $125 for a double at some times.

Unique Qualities: The pool is impressive as it is on the fifth floor and juts out over the side of the hotel.

It is however quite impressive when you are actually swimming along on your back at night with the skyscrapers around and only a perspex screen seperating you from the creation of the most impressive hotel fountain in the country.

Address: Robertsons Quay
Price Comparison: about average
Directions: On the river front - its clearly marked on the freebie maps you can pick up at the airport
Price: US$40-80
Theme: Hotel

Review Helpfulness: 2.5 out of 5 stars
