  Fire Mountains
by lomi

With over 100 open volcanoes, the national park is pretty impressive.

It is forbidden to walk over the luna landscape alone, due to its fragile eco-structure and dangerously thin crust. There is an official trail on Fire Mountains that can be seen with a guide.

Most visitors drive to the national park and buy a ticket for the official coach trip.

Pass the camel park, drive on about 5km to the entrance where there is a ticket booth. Drive to the car park and park the car, coaches are usually waiting nearby. (the price of the coach is included in the entrance fee). Daily demonstrations of volcano fire. The restaurant serves food cooked on the heat of the volcano.

Address: Timanfaya National Park
Directions: From Yaiza drive north towards Tinajo.
