Vigelandsparken

The lifetime work of Gustav Vigeland, Norway's greatest sculptor, is on display in the 30-hectare (75-acre) Frogner Park. More than 200 sculptures in granite, bronze, and iron are here. Notice his four granite columns, symbolizing the fight between humanity and evil (a dragon, the embodiment of evil, embraces a woman). The angry boy is the most photographed statue in the park. The most celebrated work is the 16m (52 ft.) monolith composed of 121 colossal figures, all carved into one piece of stone.
