was populated at Early Stone age, 4000 years B.C. From the Antic Period there is world wide important
archeological location Gamzigrad-Romuliana (III-IV century). In summer 1984. archeological team with dr
Dragoslav Srejovic, found the evidence that Romuliana was the residence of Roman Imperator Gaius Valerius
Maximilian (293.-311.)place where he was born, buried and proclamed God. Inward defensive system with 20
towers, there is Imperial Place with vestibule, halls, atria, terms, floor mosaise, frescos, marble floors
and sculptures.
