"Oriental Express Station" Sirkeci Terminal - Orient Express Tip by elcolibri

Yes, this is the same Oriental Express of Agatha Christie's novel "Murder on the Orient Express." Inaugurated in 1883 , the Orient Express ran from Paris through Munich, Vienna and Sophia to the Sirkeci station of Istanbul , more than 3185 kilometers, but passengers could continue the journey, traveling by boat across the Bosphorus to join the Taurus Express to Anatolia in Haydarpasa Station. Nowadays it dont arrive there but the building continues beautiful like in Agatha Chistie's time.

Directions: Off Ankara Caddesi, fairly near Galata Bridge
