  The Parliament

One of the symbols of Budapest and one of the most beautiful buildings there. It was started in 1885 and the works took 17 years. It is 168 metres long and 96 metres high, and is an example of the neogothic style. it is opened for the visitors: monday-friday - 8:00-18:00; saturday - 8:00-16:00; sunday - 8:00-14:00. The tickets for foreigners cost 1000Ft, for students 600Ft. There is a free entrance for tourists from Hungary. Besides there special tours for foreigners: in english - every day at 10:00 and 14:00, in german - every day at 11:00, in french - every day at 14:00.

Directions: It is placed at Peszt, on the bank of the Dunaj River. It is easy to reach this place with the RED METRO LINE, which has a station at Kossuth Square next to the Parliament.
