Manchester General: 89 reviews and 87 photos

Fondest memory: When i stayed in Manchester I often stayed at St. Peter Square in lunch time after reading in every morning, in warmly August sunshine. One day I found a small museum about a event happened on this square nearby. In the same August, 1819, about 60 thousand workers gathered here to against a government law. Suddenly a team of policemen charged in. many worker died or injured. This event was named “Peterloo”. A monument stand here to point out it.
From this I thought that a well considered society environment often need to pay expensive price.
