The Docklands spread from the Tower Bridge to the Royal Docks and the Isle of Dogs. These are the oldest areas of London which containing the wharfs, warehouses and ports of the River Thames. From the latter part of the 1980s. this whole area has been revamped both with modern buildings and the restoration of a lot of old warehouses into apartments. There is also a lot of restaurants and shops which have been included in the redevelopment.
