  A DISTURBED SOUL SEEKING PEACE...

Aboriginal Art is made today.

The work shown here was created by: MUNTJA NUNGURRAYAI and is titled: MUNTJA'S COUNTRY 1996.

It is sad to have to say that this beauty is the result of the collision, the struggle, the frustration and the (forced!) fusuin of traditional Aboriginal culture and white, western culture....

It is only fair to mention here that "we", "civilized white people" made them suffer immensely, wanted them to change to our "ways", because we think "that is the only & best % accepted way" (and how wrong we are!!!!!) and how cruel we behaved towards e.g. the Australian Aboriginals.....the Indians in America.......

Being interested in HISTORY make it clear how cruel, mean, greedy, arrogant and more ....we've always been towards each other...... AS IF "DIFFERENT" ALWAYS MEANS "BAD"......

To continue my story: Aboriginal Art is constantly developing: the use of materials and techniques as well as style, expression, choice of subject and the ideas of the individual artist change all the time.

That is also why we consider Aboriginal Art to be contemporary Art.
