El Charro: "How about Mexican? Well, alright then...." Houston Restaurant Tip by topmarmot

This is our local Mexican. It's in a strip mall and there is not much ambience to speak of, although there are a couple of singing waiters. This is a restaurant with a lot of regulars, many of whom come for the Margaritas. I usually imbibe the Grand Gold Margarita. This is a very "efficient" drink; from experience I limit myself to a maximum of two.

The food is good, though not spectacular. I enjoy the Diablo Shrimp and the Snapper.

Tip: if you shop at Kroger locally, your till receipt will likely have a $5 coupon on back for this restaurant.
