Put on your bikini and set off for Suomenlinna on a hot summer day. The boat leaves from the market place at the end of a street called Esplanade and it only costs 4 euros return.

In addition to the market place where they sell coffee, fish, fruit and vegetables, some touristy products (good quality made in Finland) etc., there is a market hall at the end of Esplanade.. You can buy your picnic food from the market if you want to. Buy some Finnish strawberries if it's the right time. They are nice.

In Suomenlinna you can walk around the fortress for free and choose a nice spot close to the sea to have your picnic.

Address: Suomenlinna
Directions: Ferry-boat connection from the Market Square about every 40 minutes.
