"To Budapest by plane" Budapest Transportation Tip by HORSCHECK

The airport of Budapest (Ferihegy) is located about 22 km east of the city centre. It has 3 terminals (1, 2A, 2B). The distance between the terminals 1 and 2 is about 4 km.

Most flights land at the modern terminals 2A and 2B.

The smaller recently renovated Terminal 1 is mainly served by low-cost airlines.

The cheapest option to get into town is by public transport. Both terminals are served by the new airport bus #200 which goes to the metro terminus Kobanya Kispest (M3). At Terminal 1 you can buy bus tickets from the small RELAY Kiosk.

In addition Terminal 1 can also be reached by the slower bus #93 and by train from Nyugati pu.

Other options are the Airport Minibuses or taxis. A reasonable price for a taxi to the city center is around 4.700 HUF (2008).
