  Sri Mariamman Temple, Singapore
by rite_of_spring

It is the oldest Hindu Temple in Singapore. Its establishment is related to Narayan Pillai, a Tamil clerk who had accompanied Sir Stamford Raffles to Singapore in 1819. This temple is dedicated to Sri Mariamman, a popular goddess worshipped in South India for health and prosperity. The main entrance of the temple decorated with different Hindu deities is interesting.
