"Gustaf Vasa Church (2) The Altar" Gustav Vasa Church Tip by El_Sueco

The Altar at Gustaf Vasa Church
by El_Sueco

What strucks you most is the immense altar, in fact it is the greatest sculptural work in baroque style in Sweden. It was made by the sculptor Burchardt Precht for Uppsala Cathedral in 18th century. However, it was not used and were stored away for many years.
The central motive is Jesus Christ and you can see a relief of Jerusalem behind.
