Just before the turn of the century a group of 9 artist including Klimt found the Secession Movement of Austrian Figurative Artists.

The building was built at the end of the 19th century, with an intention that it would be knocked down after the Secession's exhibition. The highlight of this attraction is not only the exterior but the beethoven frieze which house Klimt works.

I am particularly taken in by the golden dome and if you look closely it is actually laurel leave gilded dome. Can you beat it - some people thinks it looks like a golden cauliflower!!!!

It is also worthwhile to look closely at the exterior of the building...it has very interesting facade on the side...the are some stencils and also 3d cats on the wall etc.
