Kultur Braueri: "Jazz in Heidelberg" Heidelberg Nightlife Tip by eliowny

Heidelberg Nightlife: 34 reviews and 27 photos

Below the Kulturbraueri (an interesting place to eat german food and drink german beer/wine in its own right) is the Jazz Kellar, a long, sometimes atmospheric cave with a bar and live jazz from the local music school on Thursday nights. The music is usually good and the drinks (particularly Capirinihas) are good and fairly cheap. However, there is a ?4 cover charge, and the place is ALWAYS mostly empty. In fact, if you talk to loud in the 'music area', you run the risk of being ssshhh'ed. Good for those who are there to absorb music, not so good for those who also want to have a good time..
