What can I say. The biggest animal park in Scandinavia and like nothing you have seen before. It has a conventional zoo but with very generous spaces for most animals. Then comes the safari park where you drive (or take a tour if you come by public transport) around amongst the lions and bears in different sections and then the childrens play area with its pool and petting zoo, and the Bamse World for the famous childrens cartoon character, and the...You could easily spend two days here if you have children. Most famous for its dolphin shows which are the only ones in Sweden. What is so fascinating is that all this is set in a Swedish pine forest up on a ridge and the giraffes walk around in the Baltic landscape. It is expensive to get in but you can buy a combination ticket for most things apart from the Terrarium outside the entrance. Save some money by doing what everyone else does - bring your own picnic and eat at one of the many tables. See my travelogue for more pictures.
