  Wilanow Palace, Warsaw
by Paul2001

the Wilanow is the most important and pleasing of Warsaw's palaces. The complex itself takes up several buildings that are leisurely situated about the palace grounds. These grounds are imaculately kept which makes for a trip to this splendid palace a worthy daytrip from the City Centre of Warsaw.
The palace itself has a striking yellow facade and was built in the late 17th century. Inside the palace are many rooms and chambers with artworks that are of varying degrees of interests. These included many frescos and portraits of Polish nobility. Most are Baroque in style and are therefore quite lavish.

Directions: On the southern outskirts of Warsaw.
