The wonderful decorations on the homes, shops, and Dzongs in Bhutan will be long remembered by me. This is a typical decoration on part of the Paro Dzong.
The homes are painted in various designs, and all have a special significance.The most common are the Swastikas, louts flowers, cloud whirls and the Tashe Tagye (eight auspicious synbols).
There are also larger paintings by the front door. And of course, a prayer flag is on the centre of the roof of all Buddhist homes.
