Painted turtle in Wolf Howl Pond
by sim1

In the Wolf Howl Pond I saw quite a few painted turtles basking in the sun. The moment I got too close they all hurried into the water. I took this picture of the painted turtle, but I had to point my lens right into the sun. So the turtle is reflecting a lot of light and that doesn't make them very good to see.
Hahaha, the one thing that made me laugh so much is that these turtles are really "Painted" turtles! I guess it is because they want to keep track of the turtles, but all of them have a number painted on their back. And it was so funny to see them swim in the pond. The one thing clearly visible was the swimming white or red coloured numbers, not the turtle itself! hahaha, and when you looked a bit closer you could see it was actually a turtle :-)))
