The little ponds are a wealth for insects and all kinds of small animals. I sat down on a rock at the edge of the pond for a while to take in the scenery and observe everything around me. I could hear the frogs all the time, but no matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find them. Hahaha, so frustrating!!! I did find these tadpoles though, hahaha, so that's almost the same as frogs.... I just need some patience before they become real frogs ;-)

Directions: Mizzie Lake Trail at 15.4 kilometers from the West Gate of Algonquin Park.
