As in most US states traffic fines in working area when workers are present are doubled.

It's better to obey traffic rules, because the fines can make your vacation much more expensive then planned.

For example:

Speeding fines start at $70 dollar and goes up to $200.
Failure to yield right of way $105.00
Ran stop sign, red light, flashing red light $105
Unsafe lane change $125
Racing or contesting for speed $300
Exhibition of acceleration $200
Passing school bus $300
Littering $200

All of these are regular fines and can be doubled in working zones.

What i don't understand is that i didn't got a fine for not having a front license plate, my rental with a Florida plate had no front plate and it seems that there is a fine for that in Texas.

So be smart drive safe
