De Westkaap: "De Westkaap" Westkapelle Restaurant Tip by myriam_c

This restaurant is situated on the dyke, on the easternmost point of the Dutch island Walcheren. It's a restaurant in three parts: the main restaurant, the closed winter terrace and the open summer terrace. All three of them face the sea and have large windows all around. Wherever your table is, you will have an open view onto the sea that is at the foot of the restaurant.

Favorite Dish: Specialties are, of course, products from the sea: oysters, mussels, lobster, sole, etc. Also their meat dishes are of very good quality.
We've eaten a really very good meal in this restaurant. My son had a giant 'Westkaap' steak which was 300 gr (!!!) of the finest beef. I had another house specialty called 'Dijkwerkerspannetje', which was small pieces of pork with slices of bacon and baked onion in a sauce of coarse mustard.
