Beijing's most famous temple is a classic piece of Chinese architecture... It is also surrounded by a beautiful gigantic park area which you can explore... According to VT member "qiyixy", who actually works at the Temple of Heaven, "The emperor came to the Temple of Heaven twice a year. In January he came to the Hall of Pray for Good Harvests to pray for good harvests. On the winter solstice he came to the circular mound altar to worship heaven."
