"HAVANATUR ( TO / FROM AIRPORT )" Cuba Transportation Tip by swesn

When you arrive at the airport, watch out for HAVANATUR minivans. The thing is, I am not sure if they have a schedule but if you find it, it is much cheaper than a taxi.

It costs US$8.50 for 1 person and drops you anywhere you like. Better to take this if you are alone.

A taxi from the airport will probably set you back US$15-US$20.

Heading to the airport, you can go to HAVANATUR tourist booths at major hotels and place your booking. They charge US$11 for a taxi, which will pick you up at any location you indicate.

One recommendation is to go to the HAVANATUR counter at Hotel Riviera in Vedado between the Malecon and Calle 1, near the start of Paseo. The lady was very helpful.

The HAVANATUR counter at Hotel Melia Cohiba (which is right opposite Hotel Riviera) said it was not worth the trouble to book through her and told me to take a taxi from the street.

Random taxis you flag from the street will set you back US$15-US$20.

Anything saved is anything earned. The taxi showed up and was even early. Very professional.
