  Signs near Town Dump

The chunk of sidewalk along Central Avenue wedged between the Town Dump and a baseball diamond becomes on weekends a Speaker's Corner of sorts for self-promotional town politicians seeking pathetically to catch the attention of locals eschewing their garbage at the dump because of the town's resistance to taxes and hence its inability to provide even basic services like garbage collection. None of the political poseurs standing by the fence, though, seem to give a damn about this detestable reality, and tend to campaign on promises to lower taxes further, sparking delightful debates on which essential town service will be shut off next. By the looks of it, I'd guess the water supply, as the reservoir tends to back up quite frequently and tapwater gives off a delectable brownish hue. Oh, did I mention the ignominy of these people pandering for favour next to a pit of garbage?
