This ship was in service until 1965. I think it possible that she was on maneuvers with my husband's group which did joint operations with the Royal Navy in the North Sea in 1961. He seemed to know about her.

We did not have time to visit this boat. There was a visiting boat which was also open to the public that is shown in the photo but I do not remember her name. I think she was from another country.
