The Real Greek: "True Greek cooking" The Real Greek, Hoxton Tip by londonbabe

The Real Greek, Hoxton, London: 1 reviews and 1 photos

The Real Greek, in Hoxton Square, has two parts. There's a serious sit-down restaurant, and next to it, in an old chapel, is a kind of Greek tapas bar, the Mezedopolio. Here you can lounge and snack on bits and pieces - cheesy, meaty, vegetarian, all costing around 4-5. Wine, all Greek comes in carafes, so if you want to experiment you can order a couple of different wines in the smallest carafe. And then some more .. :-)
If you're into cooking, check out their cook book - Real Greek Food.

Favorite Dish: Fried sheep's cheese. mmmmmm hot, tangy, salty, melting, fattening, deee-licious!
That's Kefalotiri saganaki.

Address: Hoxton Square
Price Comparison: about average
Directions: Nearest tube is Old Street. Come out at exit 5 (I think) and walk down Old Street till you come to the Holiday Inn Express. Turn left here, then first right and Hoxton Square is on the right. Not a very nice area but worth the walk!
