  Jaipur, Hawa Mahal
by AndreSTGT

The "pink city" of Jaipur ought to be called "orange city" since the houses in the old city are not really pink, but rather orange.
Besides the city's landmark "Hawa Mahal" (palace of winds), there are other nice buildings in the partly walled old city, but the most fascinating attractions of Jaipur are the several massive forts in the surrounding countryside.
We paid a visit to the Amber Fort which is supposed to be most interesting of the forts, and indeed, it's unbelievably beautiful, almost surreal.
The entrance fee here (75 Rs.) is certainly much more realistic than in Agra.
