Nussbach (Oberkirch)

Catholic paris -- Nussbach Catholic parish is very old. It was the Mother Church of the Rench Valley for the villages of Oberkirch, Oppenau, Durbach, Ebersweier, and Nesselried. The village of Herztal is part of Nussbach. The village of Zusenhofen was an affiliate of Nussbach until 1939. Unternesselried (now known as Nesselried) was also an affiliate at one time. The village of Bottenau is currently an affiliate of Nussbach parish. The area of Erlach left of the Rench River was an affiliate of Nussbach parish. Nussbach Catholic church records begin 1637. There are gaps in these records 1669- 1691.
