Camillia Grille: "A slice of heaven, in the form of pecan pie :)" New Orleans Restaurant Tip by ymike2000

New Orleans Restaurants: 889 reviews and 863 photos

The Camellia Grill is an old-fashioned diner. There's limited seating on round stools around the tables. Seats are provided inside for waiting, and when those are full you wait outside. It's worth the wait!

Favorite Dish: For breakfast you can get omlettes prepared and served in an individual sized skillet. The waffles (try the pecan) are another specialty.

For lunch and dinner, the Camellia Grill is known for it's big sloppy burgers covered in grilled onions.

The pecan pie is amazing. You can get it with a plain or chocolate crust. I recommend the plain because the chocolate makes it just too sweet. A scoop of ice cream, however, makes it perfect.
