Arc de Triomphe, Paris: 402 reviews and 711 photos

It was commissioned by Napolean in the early 1800s has come to be a world recognized symbol of French national pride. The Arc is in the centre of a very busy traffic circle (there are subways). I think there are five roads leading off it so from above it looks like a star (I may be wrong!). You can climb to the top of the Arc to get lovely views down the Champs Elysees.
