"HAVANA : PLAZA DE LA REVOLUCION" Cuba Things to Do Tip by swesn
Cuba Things to Do: 396 reviews and 710 photos
Plaza de la Revolucion is an immense square which symbolises the Cuban Revolution as many political rallies were held here during the 1960s.
There is a tall, pointy monument and a statue of Jose Marti, the guy who fought for Cuban Independence. He is also Mr 1-Cuban peso.
Opposite the square is the unremarkable building Comite Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba, or Ministry of the Interior.
The famous face on this building is the metallic formations of the smothering good looks of Ernesto ?Che? Guevara. He is the beloved revolutionary figure in the Cuban Revolution. ?Hasta la Victoria Siempre? is the slogan on the building. He is Mr 3-Cuban Peso.
