In and around Alghero theres loads to do :

- Beaches, there are plenty of fantastic beaches in this area, some very deserted. The best include Porto Conte, La Pelosa, Porto Ferro and Bosa. You'll need a car to access all these beaches easily.

- Good drives, obviously you'll need a car to enjoy a good drive but there are plenty. The drive from Alghero to Bosa is stunning, the road hugs the cliffs with beutiful beaches around each bend. The drive from Alghero up to Stintino is very nice through a plain wilderness and then to a rugged coastline.

- Alghero, walking around Alghero for an afternoon or day is very pleasant. Its got some very old buildings and narrow winding streets.

-Sunset at Capo Caccio, this is a must! Capo Caccio is a stunning cape about half hour from Alghero. They have a famous grotto here,Grotto Nettuna. The sunset from the cliffs is beautiful.

Lago Baratz - a big lake not far from Stintino in heavy woodland, nice scenery around
