"Royal Palace Museum" Luang Prabang Things to Do Tip by jmmorgan

Luang Prabang Things to Do: 461 reviews and 1,015 photos

An interesting way to spend an hour. The palace is quite opulent inside and the decoration of the palace is very ornate. All artefacts are labelled in english. There are many displays of gifts to the king from various nations of the world. Most interesting for me were the glass cases containing hundreds of small buddha statues.
The palace gives a nice insight as to how royalty lived, including the royal dining rooms and bedrooms.

Before entering the museum you must take off your shoes and place them in the rack provided. Also no photography is allowed inside nor are bags allowed inside. Lockers are provided for storage to the right as you approach.
