"I went to a few bars in..." Haiti Nightlife Tip by hajin

Haiti Nightlife: 10 reviews and 20 photos

I went to a few bars in Petionville, but these seemed frequented by Americans and Europeans who were working in Haiti. The nightlife for these Expats as they called themselves was quite hopping. Also, if RAM is still playing at the Hotel Olofson, check them out. They are Haiti's native band and very popular--the place is jam packed with Haitians and foreigners. In any case, you should check the hotel out anyway as it is the setting for Graham Greene's novel, 'The Comedians,' which takes place in Haiti and gives one an interesting if a bit skewed version of Haiti during the days of Papa Doc.

Directions: Petionville seems the place to party. This is a picture of the Hotel Olofson.
