I just love this cathedral. Its ambiance, its freshness inside, its calmness felt till the bones. A wonderfull place to meditate full of interesting stories and different art periods. I used to come here a lot on my past university year to study it for Portuguese Art History subject. All a different way of knowing it. a little bit of the history:
The Évora Cathedral is the largest medieval Cathedral in the country. Its original plan, still relating to the Romanesque schemes, resembles the models adopted at the Coimbra and Lisbon Cathedrals. These models were carried out in a distinct way in the Évora Cathedral because of its late construction (c.1280-1340) that placed the building site in direct contact with the Gothic conceptions, then becoming dominant in Portugal.

The inside cloisters are a must and you can't visit it without go inside it and see where medieval monks used to pray and meditate. It has anice orange tree inside where you can actually pick some oranges. Special power felt on those oranges.

Address: Largo Conde Vila Flor
Directions: From the Turist Office at the Main sqaure just go up the 5 de OUtubro street and you can see the cathedral right away.
