Calik: "Christmas ornaments" Krakow Shopping Tip by Dabs

For a fraction of the cost at department stores in the US, you can bring back beautiful Polish made Christmas ornaments, some with local flavor such as the Krakow dragon or Polish dancers. We stopped here on both of our trips to Krakow, this time I brought home a few for gifts and a couple of new ones for myself, beautiful hand painted ornaments with the old town of Krakow painted on it, the Pope, St. Nicholas and a beer swilling dragon.

The store isn't on the ground level but there is a display of the ornaments on the ground floor and directions to go up to the 2nd floor.

What to pay: Ornaments ranged from about 16 zl a piece to 90 zl, most averaging 20-30 zl.
